March 2010
Hello Everyone - it's been an exciting year!
A special welcome to our 12th Annual Bull Sale. We want to
thank all those using a CSS Bull. Your confidence in our program
is very much appreciated.
We are offering a tremendous set of Charolais Bulls with powerful
genetics, longevity, fertile and structurally correct with volume
and muscle. Herd bull selection has been a priority over the
years and this year we are offering progeny from notable sires
such as PPC 403P Navigator, DIG 775T Broker and KAYR 400R
Grid Grid Iron. This year we are offering the first DIG 775T Broker
offspring and what an impressive set.
We have a new edition to our Bull sale – maybe you have noticed
too! We have turned the page with a new purebred Angus
breeder – Currie Angus Farms Ltd. has joined us, the reason you
ask? A Great set of Beef Bulls is the Answer!
CSS Charolais and
Currie Angus Farms Ltd. are both committed to supplying bulls
with performance and calving ease for the Cattlemen.
We have also added some technology to the sale this year
by introducing our Bulls at Sale time through a PowerPoint
presentation. With the amount of Bulls that are on offer this year,
we felt we didn’t want the “guys” getting too riled up by running
everyone through the ring. The PowerPoint presentation will
allow you to get a good look at the bull as it is being auctioned off.
Of course we still want you to come early and come check the
bulls out in the pens out back and get
a really good close up inspection of
them before the sale. We know you
won’t be disappointed.
A lot of sweat and elbow grease
goes into sale preparations and while
we may not say thank you enough,
we know that without our families, friends, neighbors, and our buyers over the years, there’s no way
it could all happen … so a
Huge Thank-you to all of You!!!
So come early – coffee and lunch is on us!! Visit with old friends,
make new ones and enjoy the day with us!!!!
Cameron & Betty Ann
Here's a little message from our Angus Breeder!
Welcome to the annual CSS Charolais and Currie Angus Farm
Bull Sale. First of all I would like to thank Cam and Betty for
allowing me to be a part of this respected event.
We have been
in the business for almost 20 years in which time we have put
together a functional set of females with herd sires going into
many commercial operations and a number of seed stock herds.
Our program has been based on using herd bulls that are suited
to conditions and climate we face in this part of the country.
Structurally sound, easy fleshing cattle that mature early but gain
from birth to yearling weight has always been our goal. Calving
ease is also a prerequisite as most of the bulls in the sale are
guaranteed as heifer bulls, but will also give the punch needed to
breed cows and crank out those big weaning weights.
On March 27 buy with confidence knowing each bull is fully
guaranteed and in the unlikely event of a problem, you will be
fully taken care of.
Stop in at the farm anytime to go through the bulls and evaluate
their dams and we will see you at the sale.
